Childhood bug-collecting to a career in fine arts.

I have always been drawn to art and the quiet intricacies of the natural world. As a child, I spent
countless hours outdoors collecting insects, observing spiders, and studying their often
overlooked details. Those early explorations continue to shape my practice today.
Now, professionally trained as both an artist and educator, my work brings together a lifelong
love of natural history and creative expression. Working primarily in watercolour, acrylic, and
graphite, I create detailed artworks inspired by Australian native flora, and fauna.
My art balances colourful, whimsical storytelling with scientific observation and accuracy, each
one feeling like a small keepsake from childhood. Through my art, I aim to celebrate the beauty,
complexity, and quiet magic of the natural world while inviting moments of curiosity, wonder, and
connection into everyday spaces.
Alongside my studio practice, I am also a passionate art instructor, teaching both children and
adults through creative workshops and classes. From playful beginner sessions to more
in-depth studies of technique, observation, and the principles of art, my classes are designed to
be welcoming, encouraging, and accessible to all skill levels.
Based across Newcastle, and the Hunter Region, I offer workshops, classes, and creative
experiences both locally and beyond.
At the heart of everything I do, creating, teaching, and sharing, is a deep commitment to visually
communicating the beauty of nature and highlighting the importance of its conservation.
